Tasty Tuesday

Last week a neighbor revived my old dinosaur computer so I when I made supper for my family, I made an extra casserole for them. Here is the Meatball Sub Casserole.

I start by slicing some french bread. This is the best place to use older bread. I put all the slices in the bottom of a pan.

Then I combine with 1/4 cup bread crumbs, some chopped onion and and 3 tablespoons of parmesan cheese.

Once that is combined then I add 1 lb ground beef and make my meatballs.

In a separate bowl, combined 4 oz softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup mayo (I use real), and 1 tsp Italian seasoning and some black pepper.

Spread that all over the bread.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Add meatballs

Then take a jar/can of your favorite spaghetti sauce, mix with 1 cup water and pour over the top

Top with more mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese is bubbly.

I forgot to take a picture of it when I pulled it out of the oven, but trust me - it's worth a try! This recipe will make a 9x13 or 2 8x8's. Let me know what you think....
