Spectators

Carter is playing T-Ball this summer.  When we first thought about signing him up, we talked about how this was going to cost Mom & Dad money and that if he started it, he was going to play the whole time.  Did he really, really want to play?  Oh, yes.  He sure did.  The first night of practice - "I'm NOT playing."  Great.  But, much to my surprise, he walked out on that field with his glove and bat and never looked back.  He is loving T-Ball!!  He mostly pays attention and really spends less time playing in the dirt than some other kids on his team!  :)  Jeremy's parents have faithfully attended all the practices, just because they love watching him so much!!

Gemma love the practice to.  She's working on her sneaky skills - she tries so hard to sneak by you to get out on the field with the boys and the one girl on the team!!  But most times, she's pretty content to sit in the dugout next to her Daddy.  I can usually be found sitting in the stands, trying not to yell too much.  It's only T-Ball practice, after all!!

His first game is on Thursday - and he can't wait.  But not because he gets to play ball, but because he knows that Papa Dave and Grandma Donna are bringing something with them, that will come home with us.  Stay tuned... :)

Sahara

Memorial weekend brings a tradition that has been going on for 4 or 5 years now.  We get together with a couple other families and go camping.  The first year we camped at Garrison Beach, then over the years, Tuttle Creek has been up and made it pretty yucky, so we ventured to other places such as Carnahan Cove and Milford Lake.  This year we went back to Garrison.  Saturday was hot and windy, which didn't bother us too much, as were in the water most of the day.  But come evening, the wind was practically unbearable!  The sand was blowing in your face, pelting the backs of your legs and during the night was blowing IN the tent. I think it was pretty much unanimous to never camp there again.  Yes, it was that bad.

But, we did have fun - here's the proof.

Posing Contest:

Gemma has decided that yes, she could be friends with the sand.

Carter and his friend AJ - very much the outdoorsmen...
They were building teepees and "fires" all day.

Gemma and Emmett (who is about 3 weeks younger than her) played together, but they didn't like it.  :)

Easter 2012

Easter weekend could not have been better! The weather was fantastic! Gemma's little cheeks and nose were rosy this morning. :)

Easter day we went to my aunt & uncle's house. They have a lovely house and yard and it was a wonderful place to hide all the eggs.

My Uncle Greg has two pet snakes - a python and a milk snake. Yes - Yuck. After lunch, he brought out the python and Carter loved petting it. Gemma didn't get the petting thing, she grabbed.

Carter and Gemma had a blast hunting for eggs. Always a fun time!

I love days like this! It truly doesn't get any better than this!!
