Sahara

Memorial weekend brings a tradition that has been going on for 4 or 5 years now.  We get together with a couple other families and go camping.  The first year we camped at Garrison Beach, then over the years, Tuttle Creek has been up and made it pretty yucky, so we ventured to other places such as Carnahan Cove and Milford Lake.  This year we went back to Garrison.  Saturday was hot and windy, which didn't bother us too much, as were in the water most of the day.  But come evening, the wind was practically unbearable!  The sand was blowing in your face, pelting the backs of your legs and during the night was blowing IN the tent. I think it was pretty much unanimous to never camp there again.  Yes, it was that bad.

But, we did have fun - here's the proof.

Posing Contest:

Gemma has decided that yes, she could be friends with the sand.

Carter and his friend AJ - very much the outdoorsmen...
They were building teepees and "fires" all day.

Gemma and Emmett (who is about 3 weeks younger than her) played together, but they didn't like it.  :)
