Follow Me Part 4

If you're just joining us, catch up!! ;)
A big highlight of last year in August was going to a wedding for our cousin, Emily, in Minnesota.  Honestly, I was dreading a 14 hour drive with a 16 month old, but it went much better than I thought.  Thank God for grandparents - they always seem to have just the right tricks to keep a toddler entertained in a car seat for that long!

Carter needed a good place to hang out in our hotel room...

We took the kids to a park that was nearby.  They had a really good time!
The day after the wedding, we went to Uncle John and Aunt Marlaine's for lunch.
They have a really nice old farmhouse and great yard and garden area.
I really liked the way these turned out...

The ride home was as uneventful as the ride there with the exception of having to pick up a handful of cows and calves from a genetics company in Sioux Center Iowa on our way through.

Picking (or throwing) pumpkins and gourds at
Grandma & Grandpa Rundquist's pumpkin patch!

I'm not sure what they were looking at, but it must have been really important.

In November, we travelled to Nebraska for Sander's Sale.  Always a good time.

Next week, we'll cover Christmas 2008 through July 2009.  I know, I can tell you're all on the edge of your seats wishing it were next week already!  Patience.

I don't think it looked too long... I still can't get over how long Carter's hair was in the back and how little he had up top!
