Prayers for a Difference Maker

The daughter of my co-worker just turned 18. She has been in the hospital all week being poked and prodded, having lung treatments and much more. She has Cystic Fibrosis. I greatly admire this girl. She is one of the bravest people I know. She was diagnosed at a very young age and has lived with it her entire life. She has never known what it feels like to wake up in the morning and feel good.

Because of her medical condition, Megan has done great things in the name of Cystic Fibrosis. Last fall she single-handedly raised over $3,000 to have John O'Leary come to her high school and speak. He was so impressed with her that before he left that day, he offered her a job with his company. That's a pretty big deal!! He even wrote a daily inspiration blog post about her. She's pretty amazing.

I just got word that her lung functions are down to a new low. Megan is still optimistic, as always. Please pray that she continues to stay strong, both physically and mentally. She's gone through a lot in her 18 years. Which, I guess is a blessing - when she was first diagnosed, her life expectancy was age 10 or 12, then it was 16, then is was 21, now it up in her 30s. With all the research happening, that Megan is actively contributing to, I'm confident that something great will happen for her!
