Good News Bad News

Good news: The doctors still think its a muscle issue, not a ruptured disc or anything that would require surgery or cortisone shots, etc.
Bad news: That is what we've been hearing and we're not getting much in the way of a cure.

The doctors are highly recommending physical therapy 3 days a week. Um, do you know my husband? That option pretty much gets thrown off the table as soon as it's mentioned. The last thing he wants to do is take off work, drive to town for a 30 minute session, then drive back to work - 3 days a week. Not happening.
They gave him a stronger muscle relaxer, told him to keep ice on it 3-4 times a day and some more specific exercises/stretches to do am & pm.
Jeremy said he would give it a couple of weeks and see how it goes and then consider all the "options".
Thank you all for all your prayers - we'll keep looking up and hopefully things will get better - for good!

In other news we have a big weekend planned... Jeremy's 30th birthday is on 2/7. I really wanted to surprise him for this birthday - it's a big one. But trying to come up with a plan to have him be home on a Saturday ready to go anywhere by 3:00 without him knowing seemed impossible. It was impossible. So, he knows. Which is fine.
Here's our Saturday plan: We are borrowing a bus (school bus) from a guy Jeremy's boss knows. There are 14 of us going to the Japanese Steak House in Topeka for dinner at 5:00. Ever been? It's FUN. You sit around the big hot grill/table and they cook your food right there in front of you and make a big show out of it! They throw pieces of shrimp (or in Jeremy's case chicken) at you across the table that you are supposed to catch in your mouth! They do the onion volcano and everything. I highly recommend it. Fun for the whole family!
Next we go to a Topeka Roadrunners Hockey game at 7:00. Also, fun for the whole family. Pretty inexpensive - GA tickets are like $7 or $8 each. Since it's a special occasion, I opted for the "VIP" tickets. We get to sit right down on the glass and we get our own personal waitress. Can't wait!!! I'll try to take some pics and post them next week.

Thanks again for all your prayers and concern over Jeremy. It definitely helps me feel better knowing we've got a prayer team going.

Have a great weekend!!

I know a pretty good physical therapist that would love to help Jeremy :) Luke works at Mathis Rehab and Jeremy can go see him and he can get him all fixed up!

What a great idea! I think Jeremy would do that as long as he could do it in 2 visits or less. :) I'll bring it up to him. Thanks!!! (I completely forgot Luke did that.)
